Mercy, Mercy, Me

In my 5 years of browsing transsexual web sites, I can't remember ever seeing a site that was about a m/f transsexual that had lived as her real self for a period of time and then had to return to her old life. Christine Daniels/Mike Penner is the only one that comes to mind and her/his life story does not represent mine in any way. I feel I'm alone again in this world and would like to find someone to talk with. After 3 years of being my true self I found that in going back my GID is ten times worse than it ever was.

Hi, Stephanie! We missed you, hun! I'm glad to see you blogging again. I missed your previous post and just happened across this brand new one.

Are there any transgender support groups near you at all? You may meet some very understanding and sweet people there. As far as blogs/websites on transsexuals who have gone back to their "old life," I don't think that many who had to do that would write about it. They may even delete their old blogs as a way of "purging" that aspect of their life. That never works, or at least I've never heard of it working.

I hope you'll be okay. Who says this is anything but temporary anyway? I'm going through a setback myself. All I need is a job to get things back on track. Someday...

Oh yes, you may want to check your old blog entries. There are (were?) quite a bit of spam comments that were posted.

Stephanie sweetie, my heart just aches, knowing what you have been going through. I'm so glad you are posting again, regardless of your situation. I was so afraid we had lost you. Please don't stop blogging about your thoughts and feelings. I have always loved reading your posts, and I really missed you while you were gone. Regardless of your current circumstances, you are, and always will always remain a dear sweet girl to me!

Big warm hug!

They are out there, Stephanie. When I was collecting posts for a recent T-Central series on transitioning, I asked for anyone out there with regrets and had one reply telling me that she detransitioned after living nine years as a woman. She offered to write something, but I never heard from her again.

I do hope you are OK and have found work. If you can re-establishment yourself with a good job, then perhaps you can again work towards being the person you should be.
