Do you see what I see?

So, after 'hanging ten' surfing tonight, surfing this transgender wave of all you beautiful women in transition, I find myself wondering. Why is it since all of you women are just like me and were born of the same mind and body as me, when I look at your pics you all look so feminine, and when I look at my pic all I see is that male flawed face of mine staring back at me? Those brief flickers of me seeing nothing but a female face looking back at me are too far apart and never last long enough.

Oh well, that's enough confidence shattering for me tonight. ...sigh ....on to tomorrow. Good night...

Steph you are your own worst critic as we all are. I often feel this way too. When I see your pics I only see a woman. Truth. There are many trans folk out there who I easily see the male history in yours is not one of them.

Yeah, Teri is right.

I see the old me quite often, and more often in the mirror than in the pics I post (at least with the piccies, I can pick and choose only the good ones).

I think it's the reason so many of us rush for FFS...not because it will help us in our presentation to others, but because it helps us see past that face in the mirror.

That's the way of it, Steph. Don't worry.
I personally think you look a doll in that pic with your peaked baseball cap on!

There's not much I can add to what has already been said...we always see the worst in ourselves and the best in others!

I remember reading once that Merle Oberon's cameraman husband made a special soft-focus lens for her movies as she thought she had a "bad side" after a car accident. She didn't, but was convinced she did...
